Buenos Aires to Host Short Film Screenings in Support of Palestine

Organized by the collective Cine por Palestina, two cultural events will take place this Sunday, March 15th, and Saturday, March 28th, featuring the premiere of 34 short films created under the call for 'Cineminutos por Palestina.' This initiative is a response to the genocide carried out by the State of Israel and as part of a global movement that rebels against complicity with Zionism.

The first event will be held next Sunday, March 15th, at 7:00 PM at the Club Atlético Fernández Fierro and will also feature the performance of singer Julieta Laso. Address: Sánchez de Bustamante 772.

The second screening is scheduled for Saturday, March 28th, at 7:00 PM at Planta Inclán, a 'space free of apartheid,' where actresses will recite Palestinian poetry. Address: Inclán 2661.

Last September, an open call was launched for the creation of short films inspired by the struggle of the Palestinian people. Filmmakers were invited to reflect on the Palestinian struggle through the four elements: water, earth, air, and fire. The goal was to create a living, fierce, and diverse cinema in opposition to the genocide being streamed globally.

Admission to the events is free, though optional contributions to organizations supporting Gaza are welcome. The collective invites everyone to join these events to show solidarity with the struggle for a free Palestine, 'from the river to the sea.'
